As part of the university's goal of becoming a more sustainable campus, Facilities Services will be working onretrofiting lights within the Library. The campus project is estimated to save 400,000 kilowatt hours per year.

Week of July 21st
- The Reading Room perimeter will be cordon off starting Monday (7/21) and be inaccessible for the next 3 weeks.
- Removal of Reading Room flags will start Wednesday (7/23) and end Friday (7/25)
- The IT Help Desk is back at the Broome Library RM 1340. Please check this website for construction updates regarding location of Help Desk.
- Computer access will be available in:
- Quiet computer Lap (BRO-1330)
- Laptops will be available for checkout the Circulation Desk
- The Reading Room scanner has been moved to 1720.
- The left front doors at the entry location of Broome is out of service. Please use right side doors at entry point of Broome Library. This entry is ADA compliant.

Week of July 14th
- IT Help Desk is relocating back to Broome Library RM 1340.
- Main Reading Room computers will be de-energized in preparation for the boom lift.
Computer access will be available in:
- Quiet computer Lap (BRO-1330)
- Laptops will be available for checkout the Circulation Desk
- The Reading Room scanner has been moved to 1720.
- The left front doors at the entry location Broome is out of service. Please use right side doors at entry point of Broome Library. This entry is ADA compliant.
- Staging for equipment and materials will be on the North side of the Library Plaza or storage location designated by IT Help Desk. The area will be secured.
- Intermittent work will begin throughout with minimal impact to Library operations and access.
Week of June 16th - Week of July 7th
- Contractors will pick a staging area outside the Library.
- Contractors will be testing circuits throughout the building - with minimal, if any, distruptions.
