Filipino American History Month
October is Filipino American History Month. The Library has curated some materials to participate:
- Filipino American History Month Collection a collection of books by and about Filipino Americans
- Filipinos in Ventura County a digital image collection from our Special Collections
- Filipinos in Ventura County by Elnora Kelly Tayag, a book written by a former Broome Librarian

Banned Books Week - exhibit runs through October
Banned Books Week is over but the exhibit runs through October.

Banned Books Week: Banned Books Week celebrates the freedom to read and draws attention to books that have been challenged or removed from libraries, schools, and communities. These challenges can involve a wide range of topics, including race, history, identity, sexuality, religion, and other issues that may be considered controversial.

Introducing AnthroSource
AnthroSource provides access to scholarly journals articles published by the American
Anthropological Association and is an excellent resource for Anthropology, Sociology,
and interdisciplinary research projects.
Why use it?
Great for finding peer-reviewed anthropology research and learning how anthropologists study human cultures, communities, and societies around the world.

Camarillo State Hospital Collection
The Camarillo State Hospital Collection is primarily housed in the University Archives and contains documents, photographs, maps of the hospital, newspaper articles, and artifacts relating to the administration, development, opening, operation, and closing of the facility.
