The Ventura County history collections contain artifacts, audio recordings, documentation, ephemera, oral histories, photos, and even postcards that depict life in Ventura County in the early 20th century to the present. Notable or memorable personalities and events of the time period are featured. Included are images of early Ventura County agriculture, automobiles, prominent families and individuals, historic locations (Camarillo State Hospital), as well as images of the St. Francis Dam disaster and oral histories of Japanese-American internment camp survivors.
