This community of collections is an on-going project that traces the cultural, historical, political, and social experiences of Chicanos as represented in art and literature in various forms and formats. The collections also document major economic, political, and social issues occurring in Africa, Central and South America, Mexico, and the U.S. Topics include communism, labor movements, migrant farm workers, socialism, and unemployment. The content (some digital) of these collections includes art murals, articles, Chicano magazines, correspondence, exhibition catalogs, pamphlets, photographs, and self-published newsletters and books. The Archives also houses the Michele Serros Collection, a local and beloved Latina author, poet, and comedic social commentator.
