Privileges While in the Broome Library
- Use books and materials in open collections within the library
- Use public computers
- Access most electronic resources from a public computer within the library
- Access the University Archives through an appointment
Community Membership Information
- All non-affiliated visitors may purchase a Broome Library community card for $40 per year. The card allows visitors to check out general books and DVDs only.
- Visitors who are current CI Alumni & Friends members are eligible to receive a Broome Library community card at no cost. For more information about becoming a CI Alumni & Friends member, contact the CI Alumni & Friends Association.
- Due to license restrictions, visitors cannot be granted remote access to electronic databases and journals.
All library services to the general public are provided subject to availability of staff and resources.
Electronic Resources
Access to most of our subscription/licensed electronic databases is available on site using public computers. Remote access is not permitted due to licensing restrictions. Inquiries regarding remote access to databases should be directed to your local public library.
Circulation and Borrowing Privileges

Group Study Rooms
The group study rooms are intended for current student academic use only. More information regarding the policy on group study rooms is available on the Broome Library website.
