Please join Broome Library and our campus partners in celebrating Open Access Week 2021 with a range of campus events that forward free and open scholarly communication on our campus! With support from Scott Perez in RSP & Dan Lens in ESRM, we’ll be leading a week of programming that explores how we all can be stronger open access advocates through our teaching, scholarship, and service.
Please see the event lineup below:
- Monday, October 25th, Noon: Intro to the Open Access Movement
- Monday, October 25th, 4pm - 6pm: Open Access/ORCid Happy Hour (co-sponsored by Broome Library & RSP, faculty only)
- Tuesday, October 26th, Noon: What is ORCid?
- Wednesday, October 27th, Noon: Advocating for Open Access in RTP
- Thursday, October 28th, Noon: Open Access & Grant Writing
- Friday, October 29th, Noon: Open Access Book Publishing
Except for the Happy Hour, all workshops will take place in Broome Library 1756. We encourage registration for each of the events at the links provided above. If you are completely remote this semester, please let me know and I’m happy to share any slides or materials from the workshops. Feel free to forward this invitation along to others who might be interested. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.
