My name is Damaris Juarez and I am currently a senior majoring in history at Cal State Channel Islands. I am delighted to say I am interning here at CI’s very own John Spoor Broome Library. Throughout my academic journey at CSUCI, I have felt overwhelmed with support and encouragement from the professors and staff. When I was accepted into the internship program I could not imagine myself interning with anyone else other than at the Broome Library. This incredible opportunity motivates me both as a student and as an aspiring archivist. I hope that my experience in this internship will motivate me and other students to always work for academic success. Coming from a Hispanic background my family has always valued education and determination. I believe these are the same values that CSUCI has put in place for me. This internship will become an important milestone within both my personal and professional goals as a historian.
